Marc A. Curcillo started in the construction industry in 1984 as the estimator for the family business, Curcillo Associates, Inc. CAI was a carpentry/drywall and general construction firm in the Philadelphia region. Marc estimated and project managed jobs such as The Cutters Café (now Twenty21) at 20 th & Market Sts; Sperry Corporation (now Unisys) in Blue Bell, Pa; and the Doylestown Hospital expansion in Doylestown, Pa.

With a desire to pursue more projects as a construction manager, Marc incorporated M.A. Curcillo, Inc in 1993. Independently, M. A Curcillo, Inc has managed the construction of restaurants, custom homes, office fit-ups and institutional renovations for clients such as Cin Cin Restaurant in Chestnut Hill, Pa.; MediMediaUSA in various cities on the east coast and California; Russell Roofing in Oreland, Pa; and the School of Business at LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pa.

M. A. Curcillo, Inc. has also worked in partnerships with others to complete shopping centers, retail stores, office buildings, office fit-ups, institutional work and aviation related projects for clients such as Hamilton Marketplace in Hamilton, NJ; various Rite Aids throughout the Philadelphia market; various projects throughout the Philadelphia International Airport; Blue Bell Executive Campus in Blue Bell, Pa; various projects for Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, Pa; Atlantic Aviation at the Philadelphia International Airport and USAirways at the Philadelphia International Airport.

As a construction manager, it is M. A. Curcillo, Inc.’s goal to facilitate the flow of information vs. being a barrier to the flow. Each professional has their own area of expertise and it is M.A. Curcillo, Inc.’s goal to utilize everyone’s abilities to their fullest. Rather than be the “hub of the wheel” in which all the information must flow (which slows down the process), M.A. Curcillo, Inc. operates as the grease in the engine to keep all the parts working. So long as the information is flowing and flowing quickly, it is not M.A.Curcillo Inc.’s role to step in and slow it down. It is M.A. Curcillo Inc.’s role to make sure all the other parties have the proper tools and information to excel with their expertise. Too many projects under construction in today’s market have too many “cooks in the kitchen” and the construction in the field is slowed down.
